Description A pristine natural preserve full of wildlife including crocodiles and boas. Natives act as local guides in their boats. Limited number of visitors permitted daily.

Directions Tulum Archeological Preserve
Description Splendid ruins of a Mayan walled city on a high bluff next to the Caribbean sea. Only major Mayan site next to the ocean. Famous for the frescoe paintings and the "Diving God".

Xel-ha Lagoon
Directions Between Tulum ruins and Akumal
Description Great snorkeling in brackish water lagoons next to Caribbean beaches. Best to get there early. Crowds start building up around 10:30am.
