Tequisquiapan-Plaza Principal

The name of this colonial village derives from the nahuatl word "Tequesquite" which means "Land of Hot Water". As an ecological paradise, Tequisquiapan offers visitors bird watching, as well as a myriad of sport activities like golf, horseback riding, tennis, bicycling, hunting and fishing. Queretaro, the capital of the state and a larger colonial jewel, is a half hour's drive from Tequisquiapan.
