The name of this colonial village derives from the nahuatl word "Tequesquite" which means "Land of Hot Water". As an ecological paradise, Tequisquiapan offers visitors bird watching, as well as a myriad of sport activities like golf, horseback riding, tennis, bicycling, hunting and fishing. Queretaro, the capital of the state and a larger colonial jewel, is a half hour's drive from Tequisquiapan. |
