American Telephone: 800-433-7300 General Comment: American Airlines was one of the first US airlines to transport passengers and cargo to Mexico. American US-Mexico routes use the Dallas-Fort Worth and Miami gateways and serve Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Cancun, Acapulco, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo and Leon. Through its regional affiliate, American Eagle, American also serves Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, Torreon and San Luis Potosi. In April 2008, American will commence service to Tampico. Seasonal service includes departures from Chicago, St. Louis, Boston and New York gateways and Cozumel destinations. It is rumored they will reinstate operations on February 14, 2011.
Mexico City based airline with convenient schedules to popular cities throughout Mexico. Presently - Spring 2008 - Las Vegas is the only U.S. gateway.
Continental offers service to 28 cities in Mexico - more than any other US airline. Cities added since December 2003 include Manzanillo, Puebla, Oaxaca, Ciudad del Carmen, Monclova and Toluca.
Subject to Government approval, service from Houston to Durango will commence on July 1, 2004.
US gateways include Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington-Dulles to one or all of the destinations. Service is seasonal to some Mexico destinations. Connecting service available from Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham and other cities throughout the country.
