Small village inland from the Pacific coast of the state of Jalisco which we use to "concentrate" small beach resorts that are emerging in the area. The Sierra Madre parallels the coastline and creates a fantastic series of bays amid tropical foliage.
The region is also known as Costa Alegre or Costa Careyes - Turtle Coast as its beaches serve as nesting grounds for giant sea turtles. Playa Blanca, Careyes and Tamarindo are approximately 60 miles north of Manzanillo's Playa de Oro airport and 120 miles south of Puerto Vallarta. |
